Debra A. Robinson represents individuals and small businesses in estate planning, probate, elder law, veterans’ benefits, asset protection, and business law. In her practice, Debbie prepares wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, health care directives, powers of attorney, prenuptial agreements and related business documents. She assists clients with probate and trust administration, as well as guardianships for minors and incapacitated adults. Debbie also provides guidance on Medicaid planning and filing for veterans’ benefits.
Debbie is a frequent lecturer on estate planning and elder law issues, speaking at continuing education seminars for lawyers, pre-retirement seminars for corporate employees and community groups. She has taught legal issues for women in the continuing education programs at Georgia State University and Oglethorpe University, and has been a guest speaker for several associations of insurance professionals.
Debbie earned a bachelor’s degree from Adelphi University, cum laude, in 1973. She holds her Juris Doctor from the University of Chicago Law School and has been practicing law in Atlanta since 1985. Debbie serves on the board of the North Fulton Bar Association and is a member of the Fiduciary and Elder Law Sections of the State Bar of Georgia, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the Real Property, Probate and Trust Section of the American Bar Association, and the Atlanta Estate Planning Council. She is also accredited by the Veterans Administration.
Debbie was a hospice volunteer for many years. As a woman widowed at a young age, Debbie offers her clients a unique understanding of the importance of estate planning in easing the legal, financial and emotional difficulties that result from the loss of a loved one.
