Greg Herman-Giddens is the founder and principal of TrustCounsel Law Firm, with offices in North Carolina, Miami and New York City. He has been practicing law for over 30 years, and is a Board Certified Specialist in Estate Planning and Probate Law (NC) as well as a Certified Financial Planner.
Greg received a B.A. from the University of North Carolina in 1984, a
J.D. from Tulane University Law School in 1988, and an LL.M. from the University of Miami School of Law in 1993. He is a member of the North Carolina, Florida, Tennessee and New York Bars, as well as the U.S Tax Court and the U.S. Supreme Court. He is also licensed as a Solicitor in England and Wales.
Greg has been selected multiple times as a North Carolina “Super Lawyer” in Estate Planning and Probate, and elected to the “Legal Elite” in Tax and Estate Planning. Greg is a frequent speaker on estate planning topics on a local and national level and is the author of numerous articles, some appearing in national tax journals. He encourages clients to incorporate asset protection for themselves and family members in their estate plans, and if advisable, develop separate comprehensive asset protection plans to guard the ever present risk of liability in our litigious society.
